Privacy Policy
Cedar Assistant is designed to run AI models locally on your device using Ollama and, when enabled, Apple Intelligence. Your data stays on your device unless you deliberately choose to share it. This policy explains what information we do — and do not — collect.
Information We Do Not Collect
Cedar Assistant does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal information on external servers. Your prompts, model outputs, settings, and usage data remain entirely on your device.
No analytics. No telemetry. No tracking. No remote logging. Nothing leaves your machine unless you send it somewhere.
Local Processing
When using open‑source models via Ollama, all inference happens on your hardware. Cedar Assistant simply communicates with the local Ollama server you run.
When using Apple Intelligence features, processing is governed by Apple’s privacy protections on your device. Cedar Assistant does not receive or transmit those queries.
Third‑Party Services
Cedar Assistant does not integrate with cloud services, third-party APIs, or analytics providers. If you choose to enable Apple Intelligence or use Apple-provided features, Apple’s policies apply to that functionality.
Children’s Privacy
Cedar Assistant does not collect any data, from children or adults. The app is not intended for children under 13.
Policy Updates
If this policy ever changes, updates will be posted on this page at cedarassistant.com. Because the app does not collect information, any future changes would not affect previously collected data — as there is none.
